Town of Port Royal Planning Charrette
The Town of Port Royal invites you to participate in the planning charrette
for the redevelopment master plan of the Port of Port Royal. Design Collective,
Inc. from Baltimore, MD, will be facilitating the charrette, which will take
place Tuesday, July 6th through Saturday, July 10th in the Port Royal Elementary
School Multi-purpose Room. Port Royal Elementary is located at 1214 Paris
Avenue in Port Royal and all of the charrette activities will be held in the
multi-purpose room.
This is your opportunity to contribute to the vision for the redevelopment
of the Port of Port Royal. We encourage everyone to come and participate as
much as possible. Attached is the complete schedule for the charrette with
key events listed below.
Tuesday, July 6, 2004 from 6:30-9:00 PM
Opening Presentation: Visioning and Design Principles
Wednesday, July 7, 2004 from 7:00-9:00 PM
Alternative Concept Plan Pin-Up and Critique: Economic and Environmental Impacts
etc.
Thursday, July 8, 2004 from 7:00-9:00 PM
Review of Prefered Master Plan
Discussion of Architecture, Building Design, Program, Codes
Saturday, July 10, 2004 from 3:00 PM
Final Presentation and Open House
There will be staff available to answer questions and receive comments everyday
except Friday, July 9, 2004, from 8:00 AM until 9:00 PM. If for whatever reason
you are unable to attend the scheduled meetings, please come by anytime to
provide input or ask questions.
